Love Me Like You Hate Me
Lust Films have an exciting new short film in the pipeline. Erika Lust is a pioneer of feminist and female-gaze pornography, but none of her early work was quite edgy enough to tick my boxes. Her 2009 short Handcuffs ticked many of my boxes, however, and to my delight she continues to explore kink themes in her 2010 film Love Me Like You Hate Me. Here's the trailer:
TEASER LOVE ME LIKE YOU HATE ME
Uploaded by lustfilms.
[Love Me Like You Hate Me] provides a modern perspective on a variety of practices that may be considered taboo for many women: to be tied up oneself or to tie someone else up, role-play and dressing up, giving pain or receiving it, being a strict dominatrix or being a submissive slave, punishing our partner or being punished by them... explore with Venus O'Hara and Erika Lust the seductive thrills of domination or the fear and excitement of submission.
Lust Films are beautiful, stylish and elegant with production values most spanking studios can only dream of. As a feminist pornographer, Erika Lust is one of my political rolemodels. I'm ridiculously excited that she's turned her talents to fetish; it's so rare to see the combination of progressive ethics, visually rich aesthetics and the female gaze with the sort of edgy fantasy that turns me on.
Discovering to my delight that both Handcuffs and Love Me Like You Hate Me are included as extras on Lust Film's newest DVD, Life Love Lust, I bought it like a shot. If this looks like your kind of thing, I'd strongly encourage you to do the same. I'm not making any money off this one; the world needs more imaginative, progressive pornographers like Lust Films and it's up to us to support them if we want them to continue. (Plus, if her fetish themed films are a huge success it'll encourage her to make more, which can only be a good thing). I'm really excited about my purchase, and can't wait for it to arrive. I'll be sure to write a full review once I've watched it!

I bought this DVD months ago, but (weirdly) I haven't got around to watching "Love Me Like You Hate Me"... I must do so, and quickly!
ReplyDeleteOooh! Is the main feature worth watching? I figure it would be a good option to watch with my lady love one evening.
ReplyDeleteI'll take another look at it this evening to refresh my memory... and give you my considered opinion on its suitability for you and your lady love. I wouldn't wish to be risk being responsible for any disappointment in your (or her) evening.
ReplyDeleteI bought the DVD mainly for "Handcuffs", which I'd watched online, and felt that I had to own a copy.
As promised I've taken a look at the main feature (and also "Love Me Like You Hate Me").
ReplyDeleteThe main feature is rather short (less than 35 minutes)... That is in spite of it saying on the box that the duration is 60 minutes. (Perhaps the 60 minutes includes everything on the DVD.) It comprises three chapters that seem to me unrelated. Maybe I'd have glimpsed a connection had I understood what little dialogue there is, but it is not in English and I couldn't find any subtitles. (Not that the action appears difficult to follow). Of the three chapters, the first two concern heterosexual sex (I have considerable doubt as to whether either of these chapters would do for the evening you propose). The most interesting chapter is the last one ("Lust"), which is also the longest (about 13 minutes). This involves two young women, and is very sensuous. (Certainly suitable for you and your lady love.) It is quite unlike "lesbian" porn aimed at men, and both women seem genuinely to appreciate their own sex.
"Love Me Like You Hate Me" is short (approx 7 minutes) but very enjoyable... and the dialogue is in English.
I hope that's helpful. If you'd like more details please ask... you have my email address.
Pandora, I agree with you wholeheartedly about Handcuffs, which I find intensely erotic. Interestingly, the teasers for Love Me Like You Hate Me and Life Love Lust don't look as appealing; a reflection on my (male) sexuality, perhaps?
