asking for help
I've put off writing this post for weeks, but it has to happen sooner or later. Eep. *deep breath*
Okay, so here's the situation. I'm a self-employed small business owner. These days modelling isn't my main source of income - I'm an IT contractor. I've had regular contracts with a couple of companies for the last year and a bit, but three weeks ago the last of these ended unexpectedly.
Last year, my contracting work took up so much of my time that I had very little time or energy left to devote to my paysite project. I managed to squeeze a couple of shoots in, and I earned enough money to buy some camera and lighting kit, but mostly the limiting factor was time. Now, in theory, I have lots of time to spend on my paysite, and am working on it as much as I can. In practice however, I also need to earn a living. I'm managing okay, but without a regular source of income it's difficult to justify spending time on personal creative projects which may or may not be profitable months or years down the line; and of course, it makes it much harder to save up funds to pay for shoots (model, crew, studio, catering and travel fees all add up - even when you have lovely friends in the industry willing to help you out as much as they can).
The upshot of all this is that I'm currently in the market for work. If any of you have any projects to throw my way, now would be an excellent time. I can offer:
- modelling/acting for photo and video shoots
- spoken word audio commissions
- custom paintings or drawings (spanking, erotic, or whatever else strikes your fancy)
- custom spanking stories
- designing/building websites, blog themes, banners, buttons, and things like that.
I've also added a wee donate button to the sidebar of this blog, and would be cheek-flamingly grateful for any small contributions towards the start-up costs of my spanking site. It redirects to PayPal, you don't have to give me your personal details, and you can use any credit/debit card. I'm a bit embarrassed posting this as I know there are far more noble causes, but if you like the sound of what I'm working on and want to hasten its arrival, this is one way you can help.

Have you thought of doing some one to one work as some of your colleagues in the scene do like Leia Ann Woods?
ReplyDeletePaul - as it says on the modelling webpage I link to in this post, I'm not available for 1-2-1s and never will be. Originally this was to respect D's wishes, but over time I've realised that it falls in line with my own personal boundaries as well.
ReplyDeleteI'm a sub, not a bottom; I only enjoy playing with people if there's a real D/s connection, or if I'm performing. When I'm working I'm not comfortable being topped by someone who is a paying to be there - I'm only happy working with professionals or personal friends.
I've done a few 2-2-1 sessions with Zoe Montana, where she topped me and the client together, or where I was a "demo plaything" to enhance the atmosphere of the scene. But in none of those sessions did I interact physically with the client, and having skirted that boundary I'm much more certain of it.
It's a shame Zoe's left the country, as there aren't many other dommes I know well enough to trust with this sort of scenario. But it's possible I'll meet one sooner or later :)
